Summer Week 3
THE SUNNY WEEK
MONDAY
For our first real day together, Michelle came to wake us up at 7:50 a.m. We got ready and then we went downstairs for breakfast. We had bread, cereals and juice. Then we finished preparing by brushing our teeth so that we could head to the stables. It was around 8:30. There, we changed our shoes and we began taking care of the horses. Three of the girls were the first to have their riding lesson : Rose rode the new pony Jimmy, Marie rode Buster and Ilona rode Jamie. They had their lesson with Grace. During this time, Charlotte and Andrea took off the rug of George and Rubix, and then brushed George. Naho and Maxence did the same with Zulu, Albert, Jack and Rubix, and Appoline and Heleana with Annie. We then help Charlotte and Appoline to tack up George and Annie, who they were going to ride. During their lesson, Andrea brushed Alf, and also helped the girls to untack their horses after the lesson. We showered the horses and brought them back to their boxes. After this, Heleana, Maxence and Kimmi rode Shreck, Zulu and Eric. During this time Andrea and Naho cleaned saddles and saddle pad. After that they prepared Rory for the last lesson of the day. Naho rode Rory and Andrea rode Zulu. They worked serpentines. Then we tidied the stables before going back to the house for lunch. While Michelle was preparing our lunch, we got our stuff ready for the swimming pool. We then had lunch, we were all very hungry ! We ate sandwiches, fruits and biscuits. After that, we had a little break before the English lesson. It lasted around 45 minutes. At 2:30 p.m. it was time for our English lesson. Everybody did their lesson with Grace outside but Andrea, Charlotte and Appoline did theirs inside with Millie ! Those who were outside worked on pronouns and the ones inside worked on the royal family which was very interesting for both groups. Afterwards, we had ice lollies made by Michelle and they were very good ! We went to the swimming pool by car and we had a very good time as it was very hot today. Around 7:45 p.m. we went back home and we even saw a fire on the road ! Finally, it was time for dinner : we ate chilli and ice cream ! We talked about our plans for the holidays. And now, we are writing the blog all together and we are looking forward for tomorrow !
TUESDAY
This morning, we woke up at 7:50 am, got dressed and then went down to take our breakfast. Afterwards, we brushed our teeth before going to the stables. There, the first group to ride was the same as yesterday : Marie rode Buster, Rose rode Jimmy and Ilona rode Jamie. During this time, the other girls brushed some horses : Appoline and Andrea helped Millie to prepare Shrek for her lesson, and then practiced the lunge for their galop 5 with Rory and Olliver. Charlotte and Heleana brushed George and sponged Rubix, while Maxence, Kimmi and Naho brushed Jack, Albert, Rubix, Zulu and Annie. After her lunge lesson, Andrea brushed Archie with Kimmi, and did the same with Albert and Jack. Then we tacked up Goerge and Annie for the second riding lesson, who were ridden by Charlotte and Appoline. They worked on spirals. When their lesson was finished, we helped them to untack the horses, and showered them. Charlotte and Appoline shampoo George’s tail. The third group to ride was Naho on Rory, Maxence on Zulu, and Andrea on Annie. They worked on spirals too. During this, the other girls started to paint horse shoes. While the last group, composed of Heleana on Eric and Kimmi on Shrek, was riding, the girls continued to paint their horse shoes while Andrea was showering Annie with Oliver. When the last was finished, some of the girls went to take their shower because it was very hot, while Kimmi, Ilona, Rose and Marie brushed Brooke and Badger. During this time, Andrea helped Oliver to feed the horses, and to walk some horses. After that, we all went back to the house to have our lunch, and then had a little break before the English lesson. During it, Charlotte, Appoline and Andrea continued the same work as yesterday, while the other girls worked on writing comprehension about films and series. Around 6:30 p.m. we had a snack, and then a friend of Grace, named Garance, arrived to do some drama with us. It was very funny and she was very nice ! After that, we went upstairs to take our showers again and just chill in our room before dinner. Now we’re about to eat and then before going to bed some of us are going to help to put the horses and ponies to the field for the night.
WEDNESDAY :
As we weren’t riding this morning, we woke up later than the other days, around 9:30 a.m. We got prepared and went downstairs for our breakfast, and then took our stuff for the English lesson. We worked on songs and it was really cool ! After that, Andrea and Appoline had a lunge lesson with Oliver before it got too hot outside. During this time, the other girls continued their work and then went to chill in the bedroom. Around 1:00 p.m. we went downstairs to have our lunch, and then had a little break before the activity of the afternoon. Today, we had a cultural activity. We went to visit the abbey of Fontevraux, in which we played a little game. We had to complete a little book and answer some questions. It was a good way to learn new things while having fun. The abbey was beautiful and it wasn’t too hot there. After this, we had some icecreams and drinks before going home. As Millie, Grace and Michelle were seated outside at a coffee shop, Michelle got scared by a bee. It was stuck in her hair so she started to run away and to yell : it was very funny ! Then we went back home and took our showers. Appoline also has her theory lesson for her galop 5, and now we are writing the blog. We are going to eat dinner, and we are very excited because tonight is burger night !
THURSDAY
Around 8:10 a.m. Michelle came to wake us up and let us 15 minutes to get ready in riding clothes. We had some breakfast, cleared and cleaned the table and then brushed our teeth upstairs. We headed to the stables and changed our trainers to riding boots. Today, it was a hack day ! The first to go were Andrea on Annie, Helena on Jimmy and Charlotte on Eric. Oliver came with them riding Albert. They did a long hack : they did some walking, trotting and cantering. During this time, the girls who stayed at the stables took care of the horses. Maxence and Appoline brushed Rubix and Rose, Ilona, Marie and Kimmi took care of the other horses and especially the ponies. Then, it was time for Maxence and Appoline’s hack. They rode Shreck and Jimmy with Oliver on the quad. They did the same as the others but as Shreck was being a little silly, Oliver did the rest of the hack by foot and ran next to the horses. At the same time, the last group prepared their horses for their hack. Rose rode Jamie, Marie rode Brooke , Ilona rode Badger and Kimmy rode Rubix. Grace went with them on Zulu. Everyone had a really good time ! At the end, we showered all the horses to cool them down, it was well deserved ! We fed the horses and some of the girls continued to paint their horseshoes. Afterwards, we went back to the house all together, we changed into shorts and had some lunch. We ate sandwiches, biscuits, crisps and fruits, and we drank some syrup also. We had a 45 minute break and used this time to take our showers to freshen up. We had our English lesson : the group of 3 did a Cambridge test with Millie and the other worked on the horse body parts with Grace. Then, Garence arrived for the drama, we did some fun little games to train and then we did a rehearsal for our final play. We also had a snack : the ice lollies ! Around 7 pm we played in front of Grace and Michelle. Rose, Ilona, Kimmi, Marie and Maxence played The Little Red Robin and Heleana, Andrea, Charlotte, Garance and Appoline played Spiderella. It was very fun and we all had a good time. We took a little break before writing the blog, what we are doing now. After that, we are going to have some dinner and finish the rest of the movie named Voicemails for Isabelle that we started yesterday. Also, tonight, it is the football match opposing Morocco and France for the quarter finals of the World Cup. Let’s go to France !
FRIDAY:
At 7:45 a.m. Grace came to wake us up and let us 20 minutes to prepared to the breakfast after we go to brush us teeth then we go to the stable for brush the horses.One first time Andrea,Appoline and Charlotte ride Annie,Eric and Zulu they went into the arena for jump.
Meanwhile Maxence,Heleana,Marie,Ilona,Rose and Kimmi brush horses in stables .
Maxence and Heleana brush Rubix and Albert, Marie and Kimmi brush George and Shrek,
Ilona and Rose brush Rory.After Maxence,Heleana and Kimmi ride Zulu,Shrek and Jimmy .
The last lesson is for Marie,Rose and Ilona and they ride Brooke,Badger and Jamie.Then we go bring the ponies to the paddock and we clean the paddock of Jamie and Buster,then we go to takes us lunch .We ate sandwiches,ships and biscuits.After the lunch we had a 50 minutes for a break and in this break we takes showers .
Following that we had a english lesson; Charlotte,Andrea and Appoline have finished here work of “the presentation of the British Royal family” and “the presentation of the royal family”
Now we will go to a lac answer will sing to the karaoke and many activities for the evening
After we will eat hot dogs and will go back to home !
