Summer Week 5
Monday, July 21st 2025
This morning we woke up at 8:00 a.m., we dressed up and had breakfast, it’s was delicious. The weather was bad so michelle and grace decided to do the english lesson in first in the morning. We worked on the vocabulary of the horse riding.
After we went to the swimming pool. We played at differents games and it was really funny.
We came back at the house to have lunch. We ate our sandwiches. We had a break and during this time we played uno.
Then we changed in riding clothes and we went to the stables to brush the horses. We did some groups: Jodie, Lucien and Emilie rode in first. Jodie ride with George, Emilie with Archie and finally, Lucien with Zulu. During this time, Garance, Camille and Agathe, brush Swing, Buster, Rubix, Anie,Jamie, Brooke. And then it was the time for Agathe, Camille, and Garance. It was really windy but it was a good lesson.
During this time Martial, Lucien and Emilie put the hay in the quad and then they went with Grace in the paddocks to feed the horses. And then we went in the quad, Grace gave us a ride and Diva was chasing it. The quad had a very big problem : there wasn’t any petrol in the motor. Diva drove the quad, and it was very funny. Then we changed our shoes and came back home. Charlotte and Agathe were the first to take their shower and the rest started the blog.
Tuesday, July 22nd 2025
This morning we woke up at 8:00 a.m. Like yesterday we had our excellent breakfast. The weather was better than yesterday, so we went to the stables at 9:15 a.m.The first group did a dressage lesson : Agathe rode Annie, Camille rode Swing and Garance rode Rubix. The second group brushed all the ponies except Alf. Then it was time for Giulia and Marcial. They rode Shrek and Annie. During this time, Agathe, Camille and Lucien washed and shampooed the pony’s tail. Lucien said it was a girly thing but he enjoyed it too. Afterwards, Lucien, Charlotte, Jodie and Emilie had their lesson. Emilie rode Zulu, Lucien George, Charlotte Rory ( such a cute pony) and Jodie Archie.
To finish the morning, we fed some horses and ponies and we helped the last group with their horses. And we went to eat our lunch. The sandwiches were delicious and the chips too.
Then we had a break and we went outside to play Uno. Garance took + 20 but she didn’t lose. (never give up). It was time for our English lesson, there were two groups. One with Marcial and Giulia and another with Emilie, Agathe, Lucien and Camille. Charlotte and Jodie don’t need any lessons. We did an exercise about the past and we made a lot of mistakes but thanks to Leighton and Grace we finally understood the past continuous. Then we talked about mother and father’s day.
We went back to the sables to brush, feed, and put the horses to the paddocks. Charlotte and Jodie had a lesson. Charlotte rode Shreck and Jodie rode Annie. And we almost all finished but Emilie still had a lesson on Zulu. We changed our shoes to come back to the house to do the blog.
Wednesday July 23 2025
Today we got up at around 8:15 and had breakfast as usual. However, we then spent the morning a bit differently: we started practicing our own drama at around 9:30am. Everyone had their own special part and it was very funny. That was are English lesson for today. Afterwards we went to the stables and Emilie had a dressage lesson on Zulu and during this time Charlotte and Jodie went on a hack. Jodie rode Annie, Charlotte rode Swing and Leighten rode George. At the same time, Camille, Giulia, Garance, Lucien, Marcial and Agathe brushed some of the horses. Afterwards we went back to the house and ate lunch. In the Afternoon, Marcial on Shreck and Giulia on Annie had their lesson first. Afterwards Camille, Agathe and Garance had their lesson. Camille rode Rubix, Agathe rode Swing and Garfance rode Annie. Jodie rode Zulu and Charlotte Rory, Emilie rode Alf, Lucien rode George. Lucien is so so so so bad in horse riding. After we talked about the differents types
of feeds with Leighton and we answer at the questions of the certification
We listened five time “i like the way you kiss me”.
Then we all took the horses to the paddocks while we were listening to music.
After that we came back to the house and now we are writing the blog while eating some snacks.
Tonight we are eating mac’n’cheese !
Thursday July 24 2025
Today we woke up at 7:25 and we go for one hour of car. The car of Grace is very noisy because she love listen to loud music but there is a lot of atmospher ! We had the luck to see “la Matinale” at the Cadre Noir of Saumur. Lucien find the tour of vault incredible. Then we took a picture next to a horse photo. After we came back home and ate our sandwiches.
We had a 30 minute break and during this time we played uno and talked.
Afterwards at 15:00 Jodie and Charlotte went with Leighton to the stables for their lesson. Jodie rode Archie and Charlotte rode Zulu and they did some flatwork. During this time, the others had their English lesson. They listened to a lot of songs and Lucien loved the Taylor Swift song, he’s a proper Swiftie! Then everyone went to the stables and Emilie had her dressage lesson on Zulu. At the same time Lucien got George ready and Marcial got Annie ready.
Friday 25 July 2025
Today we woke up and went to the table to have breakfast. Right after we headed to the stables to ride. Today was special because all of us were able to jump. First Emelie, Lucien and Jodie had their lesson. Jodie rode Annie, Lucien rode George (the best horse) and Emilie rode Shreck. Afterwards Marcial had a jump on Annie and Giulia on Shreck. Directly after Charlotte jumped Swing and Camille jumped Rubix. Last but not least Garance had her lesson on Rubix and Agathe on Swing. Everybody did well !
Then we went back to the house and ate our sandwiches while listening to music.
After we had our english lesson. It was very hard because we had a little test 😭. This time, Jodie and Charlotte packed their suitcases because they’re leaving early tomorrow (Emelie, Garance and Michelle as well). Afterwards we changed into are swimsuits and went to the lake for a picnic. We rented some kajaks and had a lot of fun on the lake. Everyone got pushed off their kayak at least once!!! Afterwards we relaxed at the playground and we also went to buy some ice cream. It was delicious! There was also a slide there. Lucien went on it first and said it was very fast but afterwards we found out for ourselves that he was just being dramatic and it wasn’t that fast at all. Then it was dinnertime and afterwards we went home and now we’re writing the blog. Today is are last night and we’re all really sad and are going to miss it a lot.
