Summer Week 3
Monday 07/07 :
Today we woke up at 8:00, we dressed up and we went downstairs to have our breakfast. We ate bread with nutella, cereals and apple and orange juice. Then we went upstairs to brush our teeth. We got down, put our shoes on and headed to the stables. To start, we brushed some horses. Eloise and Appoline brushed Annie. Ella and Apolline brushed Rubix. Andréa and Héléana brushed Goerge. Afterwards, Eloise, Appoline and Ella put their hats on and tacked up to ride their horses. Appoline rode Annie, Eloise rode Rubix and Ella rode Goerge. They did some pole work with Leighton. During that time, Apoline, Héléana and Andréa brushed Zulu, Swing, Shrek and finally Jack. The girls from the first lesson went on a little walk. They took the bridles and saddles of their horses. Then the second group tack up their horses to ride. Andréa rode Archie, Héléana rode Shrek. During the lesson,the girls did a shallow loop. During that time, Appoline, Apolline, Eloise and Ella brushed the ponies : Badger, Rory, Buster, Brooke, Jamie. Then Apolline and Leighton prepared Swing for Apolline’s lesson. She also did pole work. At the end of the morning, we watched Grace riding Jack. At 1:00p.m, we got back to the house, got changed and had lunch. We ate sandwiches, apricots, crisps and biscuits. Afterwards, we had freetime for an hour. Ella had a nap. We went downstairs and had our first English lesson of the week with Leighton. We worked on horse riding vocabulary and did crosswords. We had a lemon pie for snack time. We directly prepared to go to the swimming pool. Grace took us by car and Diva was very sad to see Grace leave. We had a very nice time there and we played with the ball. Appoline and Ella invented and showed the other girls their dance. We got back to the house but unfortunately Héléana forgot her bracelet at the pool and couldn’t find it. We had dinner about 9:00 p.m. We ate potatoes and sausages and ice creams for dinner. We are currently writing the blog and we are very tired because it’s 10:40 p.m. Grace is actually sleeping right now. Let’s go to bed and see you tomorrow 👍🙂.
Tuesday 08/07 :
Today Michelle came to wake us up at 8:05 a.m. Waking up was quiet complicated for some. We dressed up in riding clothes and had breakfast outside. We brushed our teeth and went to the stables with the dogs. We began to take care of the horses and then the first group prepared for their riding lesson. Today it’s changed : Apolline rode Rory, Héléana rode Shrek and Ella rode George. They did some pole work with Leighton. During that time, Eloise and Appoline took very well care of Benson, Rubix and Zulu of course. Andréa went to get in first time Albert and in a second time Archie from the field. She brushed Archie. Around 11:00 a.m, it was time for the other girls’ lesson. They went to get their hats and other riding stuff. Everybody helped to tack up the horses. Appoline rode Archie, Eloise rode Annie and Andréa rode Zulu. It was a change but a good change. They worked on leg yield with Grace. They finished their lesson by the usual little hack. During their lesson, Ella, Héléana and Apolline washed Rory, George, Swing and Buster’s tails. Afterwards, we cleaned everything up and got to watch Grace riding Alf. At 1:00 p.m, we went back home to have our lunch. We ate sandwiches with crisps, apricots and gauffrettes. We had a short free time before the English lesson. We were divided in two groups : one with Héléana and Apolline and Grace teaching them and the other with Andréa, Ella, Eloise and Appoline and Leighton teaching them. The first group worked on their morning routine, the second group worked on Rosa Parks, mother’s and father’s days and finally Irish traditions. We had ice pops and pitchs for snack time. After that, we went to the stables and Andréa and Appoline tacked up their horses for their jumping lesson with Leighton. They went to the arena with Appoline riding Rublix and Andréa riding Annie. The other girls started by brushing the last horses and ponies. They took the ponies and horses to the field. Andréa and Appoline really enjoyed their lesson. Around 7:00 p.m, we all went back to the house and had our showers. Tonight it’s cordon bleu and we are very excited about it. 😀🎉.
Wednesday 09/07 :
Today, we woke up a bit later than the other days because we didn’t have any riding lessons. At 9:45 a.m. Michelle came to wake us up so we got ready and went downstairs at 10:15 a.m. to eat breakfast. It was very sunny outside. We finished preparing : we brushed our teeth. At 11 a.m. we went outside and played card games : we played un uno and kems. Then Leighton came for the English lesson. Today, it was not a simple lesson, we had to play a drama. It was a mix of different kid stories : the three little pigs, Cinderella, snowwhite, Hansel and Gretel… We trained many times to be ready for the evening. Afterwards we ate lunch, we had croque monsieur and sandwiches, today’s fruit was a pear. In the beginning of the afternoon , we continued to play kems in our bedroom, we had a really good time ! Around 3:00 p.m. Michelle took us in the car to Fish and Kirsty. Unfortunately the road was blocked so we took a bit more than 10 minutes to arrive at their house. There we met Alexandre and Antonin who are both 16. We began the activity by making birthday cards or Christmas cards. Then we had a snack. We continued by making clay : we made very fun little animals. Finally, we finished this wonderful afternoon by playing some table tennis with everybody. We went back to the house with Michelle. Between 7 and 8 p.m. we had our showers. At 8:15 p.m. we got ready for the drama and then we performed outside. It was funny ! After that, we had a very good dinner, we ate spaghettis bolognese and ice creams.
Today’s topic of conversation was our favorite series, films, books and music. Now, we are writing the blog and we are looking forward to going to bed but we had a very nice day 👏🥰
Thursday 10/07 :
Today, we woke up at 8:10 a.m. We dressed up and went downstairs to have our breakfast outside. We brushed our teeth and put our trainers on. We went to the stables, changed into riding boots and began to take care of the horses. Andrea, Eloise and Appoline started directly to brush and to tack up their horses. Appoline rode Archie, Andrea rode Zulu and today Eloise changed horses, she rode Georges and really liked him. The riding lesson was with Grace, they did dressage : transverse. They had a very good lesson and went on the little usual walk after that. At the same time, Heleana, Apolline and Ella brushed Benson, Rubix and Annie. They also brushed Jamie and washed his tail. Around 10:45 a.m. Heleana with Swing, Ella with Annie and Apolline with Rory got in the arena for their lesson. Some also changed horses today. They had their lesson with Leighton : they worked on the Diamond Awards. During the lesson, Appoline and Eloise brushed Badger, Buster, Shrek, brook and Benson. Andrea brushed Jack, Albert and Rubix. Afterwards, everyone helped to untack and clean the horses and the stables. We also fed the horses and ponies. We changed our shoes and went to see Grace doing dressage with Jack in the arena. Appoline shouted the dressage reprise to Grace for her to train. Everybody watched and took pictures of Grace. At 1 p.m. it was finally time for lunch. We ate the same as usual with brownies and apricots for dessert. Then we had a 15 minute break and it was time for our English lesson. Apolline and heleana stayed inside with Grace and the other 4 girls went on the table outside with Leighton. We worked on the coronation of the king in the UK and on trips to destinations. After that, we all went to the stables. Appoline and Andrea prepared Rubix and Annie for their jumping lesson. They did the lesson with Grace and had a lot of fun. Eloise, Apolline and Heleana worked on the Diamond awards with Leighton. Ella prepared Swing and Buster for a hike for 2 girls. Heleana and Apolline took some of the ponies to the field. Then Appoline and Andrea got back from their lesson and took care of their horses. Appoline prepared Rubix again for Chantal’s lesson, a woman who often comes here. Ella went to the hike with Leighton and the 2 girls. We had a little snack : very tasty muffins. Andrea and Apolline washed Annie’s tail and showered Rubix. Eloise and Appoline brought Alf, Zulu, George, Annie and Rubix to the field. After the hike Apolline and Ella brought back Swing and Buster. We got back to the house and had our showers between 7 and 8 p.m. Michelle came to ask us what we wanted in our burgers because tonight is burger night !! Now we are writing the blog and looking forward to eating dinner and going to bed. 😺🤪
Friday 11/07 :
Today Michelle came around 8:15 a.m. to wake us up. We prepared and went downstairs for breakfast. We brushed our teeth. After that, we went to the stables, it was already very hot. We changed our shoes and began to brush and prepare the horses. Héléana helped Appoline with Shrek, Andréa helped Eloise with Annie and Apolline helped Ella with Rubix. So, we tacked up and the three girls got on their horses. Today it was jumping ! They did their lesson with Leighton : they began by a warm up and then they jumped up to 1 meter ! They all loved their horses and ponies. During that, Andréa, Héléana and Apolline brushed Benson, Zulu and George. Then, it was time for the second riding lesson. Apolline rode Swing, Héléana rode Shrek and Andréa rode Annie. They did their lesson with Grace and also jumped up to 1 meter. They also had a very good time and Michelle filmed all of it. During that, Appoline, Ella and Eloise brushed all the ponies. Afterwards, we all helped to untack and clean the horses and the stables. We cleaned the brushes and then we went back to the house for lunch time. We had a 45 minute break. Eloise had her Baccalaureat results and she had very good ones. Then we all had our English lesson together this time. We were with Grace and we worked on three songs. At 4 p.m. we got in the car and went to the lake. Unfortunately when we got there, we had bad news : swimming in the lake was forbidden because of bacterias, the bouncy castles weren’t there. We still had a very good time : Michelle and Grace bought us ice cream and we played some kind of baseball with Fisher, Kirsty and Alexandre and Antonin. We had a lovely time. Then it was time for dinner and we ate a lot of different things. For dessert, we had Kristy’s cake and we all loved it. We played a bit and began to clean up all the stuff. We went back to the house. Now we are writing the blog and then we will take our showers and go to bed. We had a very nice week and we are very sad that it’s over. 😣🙂
